Craig A. Mathews, Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for administering daily operations for SMILE Community Action Agency. He works with the SMILE Board of Directors to establish policies and procedures, as well as goals and objectives.
He provides supervisory and administrative leadership in planning, programming, budgeting, implementing and evaluating projects and programs in the tri-parish region of St. Martin, Iberia and Lafayette.
Mr. Mathews also directly supervises six staff members, including the CFO, COO, Director of Services, Director of Grants/Communications, Director of Affordable Housing Development and the Executive Administrative Assistant.
He reports directly to the SMILE Board of Directors, and has been a full-time employee of the Agency for three years.
However, Mr. Mathews has more than two decades of leadership experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, including organizations and businesses he has founded and administered over the years. His experience in community action and social services dates back to 1999 when he served as the Senior Program Planner/Grants Coordinator at the St. Mary-Vermilion Community Action Agency.
Through the years, he has worked as an Executive Director, Fiscal Director, Business Development Director, Independent Consultant, Housing Development Director, Program Manager and Store Manager. He has also been the founding member of several enterprises, including PediaKare De’ Louisiana and Franklin, LCC. In addition, he serves as managing partner of Familial Healthcare Management, LLC.
In 2018, Mr. Mathews became the leader of the SMILE team. He is also an elected member of the St. Mary Parish Council since 2007, and senior pastor of the Hubbard United Church of Christ.
He has a B.S. in Business Marketing/Management from Grambling State University, and is pursuing his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Ms. Wiltz serves as the Executive Director of ACAP-LA, bringing years of experience in community development, program coordination, and leadership.
Prior to this role, she worked with SMILE Community Action Agency as the Resource Program Coordinator and Equal Opportunity Officer. There, she led the execution of the agency’s Diversity Plan,

There, she led the execution of the agency’s Diversity Plan, built strategic partnerships, and chaired four major fundraising events—each generating an average of $50,000 annually.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Physiology from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) and is a Nationally Certified ROMA Trainer (NCRT). Ms. Wiltz also has a strong background in healthcare, having worked with Home Health Care 2000, Louisiana Health Care Group, and Lafayette General Hospital.
